Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.

- Manage accounts receivable functions, including cash posting and reconciliation.

- Handle billing operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes.

- Utilize Net Suite software to manage accounting tasks efficiently.

- Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

- Prepare regular financial reports to support decision-making.

- Assist in audits and ensure adherence to company policies.

- Maintain organized documentation of all accounting activities. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in invoice processing and cash posting.

- Hands-on experience with Net Suite or similar accounting software.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal teams.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
