Little St Johns Surgery are looking for a part-time care navigator/receptionist to join our team in Woodbridge. You will need to be flexible, highly motivated and friendly with an excellent eye for detail. The post is offered on a part-time basis for 22 hours per week and you will be working the following days and hours;
Monday: 8.00am to 1pm
Wednesday: 1.00pm to 7.00pm
Thursday: 8.00am to 1pm
Friday: 1.00pm to 7.00pm
You will also be asked to cover occasional Saturday mornings, holidays and sickness as required. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job- Handle all telephone and general enquiries in a professional manner, referring callers to appropriate healthcare professional.
- Make appointments for patients in accordance with practice protocols.
- Ensure that messages and requests for visits are recorded.
- Process all post and electronic communications on the day they arrive.
- Manage the uploading and downloading of temporary resident forms.
- Manage the waiting list for 24 hour blood pressure monitoring and 24 hour ECGs.
- General filing, photocopying as required.

Person Specification Experience- Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients and colleagues at all times.
- Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong IT and administration skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.
