We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and dependable Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is primarily based in Woodbridge, CT, with the opportunity to pick up additional coverage hours in West Haven, CT as needed. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced medical practice.

Schedule:

Part-Time 3 days a week in Woodbridge with potential PRN shifts in West Haven and potential to go full-time in the future.

Clinical / Back Office Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and procedures
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information in the EMR
  • Administer injections, perform basic laboratory tests, and collect specimens (as permitted by certification)
  • Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and organized
  • Support care coordination and assist with follow‑up instructions for patients
Administrative / Front Office Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and respond to patient inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA and privacy compliance
  • Assist with billing support, prior authorizations, and documentation requests as needed
Compensation

Competitive hourly pay of $21–$24/hour, based on experience.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Previous medical office or clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care
