About The Current Open Role

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk to serve as the lead authority for our dealership’s revenue cycle. In this role, you won’t just post transactions; youwill oversee the integrity of the entire deal-to-cash process. You will be responsible for auditing complex vehicle sales, managing high-value schedules,and ensuring our F&I and Sales departments remain compliant with internal and manufacturer standards. As a Senior member of the accounting team, you willact as a mentor to junior staff and a strategic partner to management inoptimizing our financial operations.

What

We're Looking For
  • Oversee the final audit and posting of all vehicle sales, ensuring 100% accuracy in contracts, rebates, multi-state taxes, and complex incentive structures.
  • Manageand reconcile high-priority schedules, including vehicle inventory, floorplanstatements, and factory receivables.
  • Ensureall deal jackets meet strict regulatory and company compliance standards beforefinal funding.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the deal-flow process between Sales, F&I, and Accounting, and implement solutions to reduce "contracts-in-transit" (CIT) time.
  • Support the Controller during month-end close by preparing complex journal entries and analyzing gross profit variances.
  • Leadthe monthly reconciliation and remittance of high-volume extended warranties and aftermarket products.
  • Serveas the subject matter expert for the DMS, providing guidance and training tojunior accounting clerks.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically in high-volume automotive deal posting and reconciliation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Macros, nested formulas, and complex data modeling) anddeep experience with Reynolds & Reynolds (ERA-IGNITE) or similar DMS.
  • The ability to spot trends in discrepancies and the initiative to resolveroot-cause issues with Sales and F&I leadership.
  • ABachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent career experience).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the "firm but fair" ability to hold other departments accountable for documentation accuracy.
  • Aproven track record of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.
