Overview

Full Time Temp Parts Leader Needed

Location:

943 Omar Ave, Avenel, NJ 07001. Pay: $25 - $32 per hour (Overtime rate when available).

Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and direction to parts department operations.
  • Liaison between terminal leadership and Parts Assistants.
  • Provide support and guidance to other Parts Assistants as needed.
  • Assist terminal leadership in identifying areas for improvement and, as needed, provide on-the-job training to address those areas.
  • Issue purchase orders and purchase parts for terminal at the best possible price and value; negotiate parts and material prices with vendors.
  • Stock, issue, process and input data related to POs and invoices.
  • Ensure repair orders are complete and accurate (inside and outside).
  • Maintain maintenance shop records, tire count and department statistics; maintain files for invoices and contracts.
  • Handle department shipping and receiving.
  • Handle OS&D delivered to outside terminal locations.
  • Maintain warranty parts, manage shipping and scrap.
  • Maintain proper core storage and returns.
  • Responsible for part returns and managing obsolete parts.
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years' experience in parts or inventory control required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be familiar with completing purchase orders and/or repair orders.
  • Must be familiar with looking up parts and placing online orders using appropriate OEM websites.
  • Must possess excellent 10-key and computer keyboarding skills.
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
