A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Gen AI Engineer
.

Position type: Full-time, Contract (W2)

Duration: 12 months contract role

Location: Woodbridge Township, NJ – 3 days hybrid on-site role

As a Gen AI Engineer, you will:

Day ? to ? Day Responsibilities:

• Design and implement GenAI components, including retrieval augmented generation (RAG), multi-agent reasoning workflows, and LLM-based decisioning systems.
• Build secure and efficient interfaces between LLMs and backend services used for automated threat modeling and risk triage.
• Develop vector search, embeddings pipelines, and semantic indexing solutions for cybersecurity datasets such as threat models, vulnerabilities, requirements, and code metadata.
• Operationalize the cyber risk rubric created by the Lead Cyber Security Research Consultant by converting it into model prompts, decision trees, and structured outputs.
• Encode domain-specific threat knowledge into GenAI-powered systems to accurately classify, summarize, and prioritize risks with clear traceability.
• Build AI-driven reasoning agents that support secure design reviews, code assessment checks, and policy-to-control mapping.
• Develop robust ingestion pipelines to process diverse cybersecurity artifacts including logs, threat intelligence, architecture diagrams, requirements, and control documents.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience working with LLMs, RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as threat modeling, vulnerabilities, secure design principles, and risk assessment.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML systems with backend services and APIs.
• Ability to translate security frameworks and rubrics into structured AI-driven workflows.
• Expertise in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks, orchestration tools, and prompt engineering.
• Experience building autonomous or semi-autonomous AI agents for complex reasoning tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to handle large, unstructured cybersecurity datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with security researchers, developers, and product teams.

Pay Range*: $80 - $85 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
