CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT - HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for clinical and clerical support at the new Health and Wellness Center in Metropark, NJ.

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments.
• Assist patients before physician visit and examination as directed.
• Take vital signs and record in the medical chart.
• Operate and maintain special equipment (EKG, PFT, audiometry, titmus test, UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other lab testing).
• Maintain patient records and file reports.
• Assist with collections/billing procedures as needed.
• Use computer software to maintain office systems.
• Identify and respond to confidentiality issues.
• Modify and deliver care tailored to patient population needs.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Lift a minimum of 5 lbs.; push and pull a minimum of 5 lbs.; stand a minimum of 1 hour a day.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Effective interaction with diverse populations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred).
• Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent (required).
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification (required).

Minimum hourly rate of $23.27. HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
