Job OverviewThis leading investment management firm is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its Family Office Management group. The role involves processing payrolls for various client entities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for a strong payroll professional who thrives under pressure.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform pay data entry, including time and attendance, employee maintenance, and record keeping using payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, CBIZ, and Insperity.
- Manage daily payroll operations for multiple client entities.
- Coordinate with PEOs as necessary.
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Handle taxation of employer-provided benefits and garnishment calculations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
- Review and interface with time and attendance data.
- Calculate gross-up payments and manual checks.
- Process payroll updates such as new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
- Manage year-end reporting (W-2, 1099, etc.) and related audits.
- Respond promptly and accurately to client requests.
- Maintain electronic client files.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, CBIZ, Insperity) is a plus.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, tax principles, and wage laws across multiple states.
- Ability to calculate payroll taxes and with holdings.
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Understanding of state workers' compensation and disability laws.
- Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
