The Accountant is responsible for performing all daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting functions for all assigned areas. This position is also responsible for participating in monthly, quarterly and year‑end financial closings, annual audit preparation and other special projects as requested by management.
Pay Range: $60,000 to $75,000 annually
What You Will Do- Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries as needed.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Liaise with other accounting staff at Corporate or at operating companies.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures and ensure that procedures are applied consistently.
- Execution of routine or ad hoc reporting.
- Participate in special projects and accounting research as needed and assigned.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage and reconcile cash related activity.
- Monitor daily cash activity.
- Prepare reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash transactions monthly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Adhere to Company’s commitment to workplace safety.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Public company experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be comfortable working in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong work ethic required.
- Must possess "soft skills": conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills.
- Strong communication skills (including writing skills).
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
