Manufacturing Controller - Cost Accounting

Overview

Zing Recruiting (in partnership with a leading aerospace company), is seeking an experienced Controller to manage financial reporting and ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This role involves overseeing accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and budget support.
Cost accounting experience in manufacturing is required, as the ideal candidate will fully understand the costing of products (widgets) and how variables affect P&L statements. Exposure to Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) is a nice-to-have. Pay range: $150k - $180k (15 bonus). Relocation package available for the right candidate.

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Accounting teams.
• Provide expertise in Cost Accounting and inventory management.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
• Act as an ERP (Epicor
  10 / Epicor Kinetic) super-user and provide training.
• Collaborate with accounting staff for consistent financial reporting.
• Assist the Vice President of Finance with banking and budgeting activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Support staff development and address personnel issues.

• Minimum of five years in accounting, with supervisory experience.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with SQL and Power BI.
• Creative, motivated self-starters with leadership skills.

• Ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing costs.
• Provide financial insights for decision-making.
• Maintain accounting controls and oversee financial data submission.
