Senior Tax Manager – Iselin, NJ – Prosperity Partners

Prosperity Partners (“Prosperity”) is a Chicago-headquartered public accounting firm offering best-in-class tax, accounting, and personal finance services to dynamic businesses, high net‑worth individuals, and family offices. With offices throughout the United States, we are seeking an energetic, experienced Senior Tax Manager to support our growing tax practice in Iselin. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, exceptional leadership qualities and at least ten years’ public accounting experience.

The candidate will be a tax generalist that runs engagements from start to finish. They should be able to manage tax preparation for complex business, individual and trust federal and state income tax returns, research and analyze multifaceted tax issues, identify and implement tax planning and consulting opportunities, and work closely with the lead tax partner on sophisticated M&A transactions. Excellent communication skills are valued as candidates will frequently draft memos and correspond with clients and taxing authorities.

Candidates will be strong company advocates and role models who embrace a leadership role. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, employees are expected to be in office three days per week.

• Minimum of ten years’ experience at a regional, national or multi‑national accounting firm;
• Accounting degree from an accredited four‑year university;
• CPA certification required;
• MST is a plus;
• Strong ability to manage client and internal expectations, grow client relationships and lead staff;
• Proficiency in the selling process, including meeting and corresponding with prospective new clients, preparing job budgets and drafting engagement letters;
• Real estate experience is a plus;
• Understanding of the internal operations of a firm including billing, budgeting, and long‑term goals;
• Excellent analytical and technical skills, including exposure to family office, multi‑state, and flow‑through taxation;
• Capable of expanding portfolio of clients as well as the firm’s service offerings;
• Success in networking with regular contributions to the industry at large;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills;
• Comfortable speaking or presenting in front of clients and peers;
• Availability to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Annual Salary Range: $150,000 USD – $190,000 USD
