Grundisburgh Primary School is a welcoming 1-form entry primary school nestled in the charming village of Grundisburgh, conveniently located between Woodbridge and Ipswich. We offer exceptional outdoor learning opportunities with a large outdoor space, supported by 2 Thrive Practitioners and 2 Forest School Practitioners, ensuring that every child’s emotional wellbeing and love of nature are nurtured alongside their academic progress.
We are seeking a kind and welcoming Class Teacher to lead a Year 1 class and take on the exciting responsibility of leading a subject area within the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated teacher looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking team in a school rated Good by Ofsted (2022).
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils
- Lead and develop a subject area, contributing to curriculum enhancement
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages learning and good behaviour
- Work collaboratively with staff and contribute positively to the school community
- Promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of all pupils.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
- Demonstrable ability to lead a subject area within a primary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills with a focus on kindness and inclusivity.
- Approachable, kind, and welcoming to pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Passionate about leading and innovating within their subject area
- Committed to professional development and contributing to the wider life of the school
- Able to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their best.
