ISP Maintenance Technician; MDU

Discover a more connected career At Ervin Cable Construction, LLC, as a Technician Fiber Installation, you’ll set up and take care of the fiber optic networks that help connect people. You'll make sure everything runs smoothly, fix any problems, and keep us connected without interruptions. Our technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots telecommunications, cable, internet, and fiber optic services within large residential buildings like apartments and condos, handling everything from running cables and splicing fiber to setting up equipment and ensuring quality service for many tenants, often using tools like signal meters, testers, and splicing gear.

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, set up and configure all equipment
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Preferred:
  Prior experience working with fiber throughout MDUs
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for ISP Maintenance Technician (MDU) is $25.00 - $35.00
