Role DescriptionWe’re looking for a receiving clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the backbone of warehouse operations. As the first in line to handle all incoming material, you’ll ensure accuracy, quality, and a smooth workflow across the organization. Responsible to receive all inbound goods, then enters, verifies, and validates the information within the ERP system and informs the appropriate person of the receipt.
Opening inbound material may require the use of various power and handheld tools. Checks each inbound good for quality and accuracy of the part. Performs necessary inspections on inbound material which may require the use of calipers, micrometers, s, and tape measurers. Responsible for putting inbound material away or to the next warehouse location once receiving process is complete. Works hand in hand with purchasing to maintain inventory records.
The receiving clerk must maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
- Record vendor receipts in ERP software system
- Operation of a forklift
- Use various power and handheld tools
- Use of measuring devices
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- To comply with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard under his/her responsibility and authority.
- To contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system and its continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Experience with table saws, various and handheld tools
- Experience with using measuring devices
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
