E PLAN Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced EPLAN Electric P8 Design Engineer to join our electrical engineering team. You’ll be responsible for developing high-quality electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN Electric P8, ensuring accuracy, compliance with standards, and alignment with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system layouts using EPLAN Electric P8.

* Create and maintain circuit and panel documentation, including BOMs, cable lists, terminal plans, and interconnection diagrams.

* Work closely with electrical, controls, and project teams to interpret technical specifications.

* Manage revisions and document changes to schematics across design stages.

* Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements (e.g., IEC, BS, UL).

* Support design reviews and resolve technical queries throughout project delivery.

* Use or develop macros/templates to improve design efficiency and consistency.

Skills & Experience

Essential
✔ Proven experience designing electrical schematics using EPLAN Electric P8.
✔ Strong understanding of electrical control systems, wiring conventions, and panel design.
✔ Ability to produce accurate documentation and detailed reports.
✔ Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

Experience with Automation/PLC integration, Power Distribution, or Control Panel design.

Knowledge of electrical standards (e.g., IEC, BS, UL).

Familiarity with other ECAD tools or ERP/PDM integration.

Qualifications

* HND/BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline — or equivalent experience.

* EPLAN certification or formal training advantageous
