Semi-Skilled Food Production Operatives – Immediate Start

Location:

Near Barnsley - Wombwell

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Pay:

* Nights: £14.14/hour (OT: £17.68/hour)

We are currently hiring multiple Semi-Skilled Food Production Operatives to join our fast-paced, growing client based near Barnsley. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with immediate starts available.

Shifts Available (discussed further during interview):

Nights:

* 7pm – 5am (4 on, 3 off)

* 8pm – 5am (4 out of 7 days)

Main Responsibilities:

* Operate and monitor machinery efficiently and safely

* Conduct daily pre-start safety checks

* Follow daily production plans and changeovers

* Complete all CCP, label, metal detection, and GMP checks accurately

* Ensure traceability and correct documentation of products

* Monitor downtime and escalate any technical issues

* Train and support new team members as required

* Adhere to hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality focus

About You:

* Experience in food manufacturing (preferably chilled food)

* Ability to operate machinery and troubleshoot basic issues

* Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)

* Able to work under pressure and to targets

* Strong attention to detail and paperwork accuracy

* Willing to be flexible and support other areas if required
