Field Service Engineer

Our client is a leading supplier of vehicle wash machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

We are seeking a field service engineer with good electrical engineering skills to undertake machine installations, maintenance and repair work throughout the Midlands and North West of England.

Salary £40K -£44K +OT +Van + Bonus OTE £48K -£50K

Reporting to the service manager you will be responsible for 3‑phase electrical & mechanical installation, service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
• Provide 3‑phase electrical installation, fault finding and repair of motors, control panels, contractors, sensors, relays etc.
• Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repair work
• Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
• Ensure accurate visit reports, including details of work undertaken/completed, are recorded on the computer system

You will be a multi‑skilled engineer with excellent electrical and mechanical engineering skills.

You will have a recognised electrical engineering qualification (e.g. 18th edition, HNC/NVQ
3) and good mechanical skills.

Previous work experience with vehicle wash machinery or high‑pressure wash systems would be beneficial but is not essential as training will be provided.

You will be computer literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must be comfortable working outdoors.
