Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location, Wolverhampton
Salary, competitive basic with strong OTE, dependent on experience
Hours, full time, main dealer hours
This is an excellent opportunity for a Diagnostic Technician to join a progressive main dealer Aftersales team in Wolverhampton. The role is focused on diagnostics and fault finding rather than routine servicing, working closely alongside an experienced Master Technician to diagnose, repair, and resolve complex vehicle issues.
This position suits a Diagnostic Technician, Senior Service Technician, or an experienced Service Technician looking to step up into a more diagnostic-led role within a modern Aftersales environment.
Key responsibilities include
• Advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer diagnostic systems
• Working alongside the Master Technician on complex electrical and mechanical faults
• Supporting Service Technicians with technical guidance when required
• Carrying out repairs following diagnostic investigation
• Ensuring high first-time fix rates
• Maintaining main dealer standards within Aftersales
• Supporting workshop efficiency and technical development
This is not a standard service technician role. The focus is diagnostics, fault finding, and problem solving within a main dealer workshop.
Ideal background
• Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Service Technician
• Strong diagnostic skill set across electrical and mechanical systems
• Main dealer or high-level independent experience preferred
• Confidence working within Aftersales alongside a Master Technician
• Desire to progress and excel within a forward thinking business
What’s on offer
• Diagnostic Technician role with reduced routine servicing
• Close mentoring and exposure to Master Technician level work
• Strong earning potential with competitive OTE
