Field Service Engineer

Our client is a leading supplier of vehicle wash machinery and is looking for a Field Service Engineer to undertake machine installations, maintenance and repair work throughout the Midlands and North West of England.

Salary: £40 K–£44 K + OT + Van + Bonus. OTE: £48 K–£50 K.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for 3-phase electrical & mechanical installation, service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning.
• Provide 3-phase electrical installation, fault finding and repair of motors, control panels, contractors, sensors, relays etc.
• Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault find and repair work.
• Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks.
• Ensure accurate visit reports are recorded on the computer system.

You will be a multi-skilled engineer with excellent electrical and mechanical engineering skills. You will have a recognised electrical engineering qualification (e.g., 18th edition, HNC/NVQ 3) and good mechanical skills. Previous work experience with vehicle wash machinery or high-pressure wash systems is beneficial but not essential, as training will be given. You will be computer literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you will be comfortable working outdoors.

Monday to Friday – 45 hours.
