Location: Bilston
If you’re a Technical Manager who thrives on owning standards, leading audits and driving factory excellence, this is your opportunity to take full site responsibility.
This role has full accountability for the main site and IQF frozen food line, ensuring compliance, performance and continuous improvement across the Quality Management System and HACCP plan
This is a visible leadership role. You’ll be on the factory floor, in front of customers and auditors, and working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering and Hygiene to keep standards uncompromising.

Full site-level technical ownership
Direct responsibility for BRCGS and major retailer compliance
Leadership of QA Supervisors, QAs, QCs and Assistant

What you’ll be getting stuck into as Technical Manager
Leading development and maintenance of the Quality Management System and site HACCP plan
Driving GMP and factory standards across production
Ensuring compliance with BRCGS and retailer codes of practice including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Lidl
Managing internal audit programmes and ensuring corrective actions are closed out
Leading site visits and audits, presenting compliance and performance data
Investigating root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions in response to complaints
Managing trending of micro and environmental results and driving improvement plans
Completing risk assessments and gap analysis against BRCGS and retailer standards
What you’ll need to succeed as Technical Manager
Strong working knowledge of BRCGS
HACCP Level 3 minimum (Level 4 desirable)
Food Safety Level 3 minimum (Level 4 desirable)
Internal auditing experience (Lead Auditor desirable)
Retailer code of practice knowledge
Experience in a similar manufacturing environment, ideally poultry
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
Confidence presenting to customers and auditors
