Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Production
We're recruiting multiple Machinists to support growth across our Next Generation Bevel Gear cell, with opportunities available on Double Days, Makino and Night shifts.
This is a chance to work in a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art machining environment, operating the latest CNC technology and advanced automation. As part of a highly skilled team, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating and overseeing multiple CNC machines, while supporting the introduction of new processes, equipment and technology within the cell.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities- Set up, operate and make basic adjustments to 5‑axis turning and milling machines
- Monitor machine performance and production quality, addressing first‑line technical issues
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers on new part introductions and ongoing cell development
- Follow defined process layouts, work instructions and compliance systems
- Support First Line Maintenance and TPM activities within the cell
- Move materials, manage SWIP and ensure tooling and equipment availability
- Actively contribute to lean events and continuous improvement activities
- Adhere to all EHS procedures and safety standards at all times
- Minimum 3 years' experience setting and operating CNC machines in a precision engineering environment
- Experience with 5‑axis machining, including mill‑turn operations and use of inspection equipment
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering or Manufacturing
- Apprentice‑trained background
- Experience working on Makino machines
- Exposure to new technology, automation or cell introduction
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem‑solving approach
- Flexibility and willingness to work shifts (Double Days, Makino or Nights)
