Pertemps Wolverhampton are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering client in Wolverhampton for an experienced TIG Welder to join their production team on a temp to perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder to secure a long-term position within a professional and quality-driven manufacturing environment.
The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding on components and assemblies, ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
- Ensure welds meet required quality and appearance standards
- Carry out visual inspections and basic quality checks
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures
- Ensure work is completed within production deadlines
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good knowledge of welding techniques and processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Experience welding to coded or precision standards
- Previous work within aerospace or precision engineering sectors
- Basic fabrication skills
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good problem-solving ability
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Commitment to continuous improvement and safe working practices
- £13.50 per hour
