Site Supervisor – Recycling / Skip Yard

Smart Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee operations at a busy recycling and skip yard in Wolverhampton.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong leadership skills and proven experience within a recycling facility or skip yard environment.

• Monday to Friday
• 2:00pm – 12:00am (Midnight)

• Supervising day‑to‑day operations within the recycling / skip yard
• Managing and supporting yard operatives to ensure safe and efficient working practices
• Operating plant machinery when required
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
• Coordinating material flow, waste segregation, and yard organisation
• Liaising with management regarding performance, staffing, and operational issues
• Maintaining site standards and productivity during the afternoon and evening shift

• Previous experience in a recycling facility or skip yard (

• Experience operating a loading shovel and 360 grab (

  )
• Experience in a supervisory or team‑leading role
• Strong understanding of health & safety within a waste or recycling environment
• Confident, reliable, and able to manage a team effectively
• Comfortable working afternoon and evening shifts
