Mechanical Project Manager; Works

Position: Mechanical Project Manager (Small Works) (Permanent)
True are partnering with a West Midlands-based mechanical and electrical contractor delivering high-quality building services across education, commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors. With a strong reputation for snag-free handovers and a loyal base of regional clients, they’re growing their project management team across the West Midlands where all the work will be based.

As a Small Works Mechanical Project Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for multiple projects typically valued between £500K–£1M, managing the mechanical delivery from pre-construction handover through to commissioning. You’ll be client-facing, oversee subcontractors, drive procurement, and ensure H&S compliance, supported by an in-house estimating and pre-construction team. Projects are predominantly based in Birmingham, Dudley, and Tamworth, with occasional work further afield.

You’ll be running 3–5 jobs at any one time, depending on size and complexity, with scopes spanning pipework, ventilation, and air conditioning. This is a great opportunity for an intermediate-level Project Manager with around 5 years’ experience in mechanical delivery, looking for autonomy, progression, and long-term opportunity within a well-established regional business.

Small Works Mechanical Project Manager Package:

* £50,000 - £55,000 basic salary
