Overview
We are looking for motivated, forward‑thinking Radiographers with a passion for developing others. You will contribute to the education of pre‑registration trainees and support newly qualified radiographers as they transition into practice within a large, diverse radiology department.
In this Practice Educator role, you will help shape the next generation of AHP professionals by fostering high‑calibre learning opportunities and nurturing a positive, inclusive clinical learning culture.
Previous experience supporting learners and a recognised teaching, assessor, or mentorship qualification are desirable. In return, you will be supported with opportunities for your own continued professional growth.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, support and monitor high‑quality learning opportunities within the clinical assessment environment.
- Assist pre‑registration learners to achieve practice assessment outcomes, supporting their progression towards professional registration and workplace integration.
- Provide mentorship, pastoral support and structured training to newly registered radiographers and internationally recruited colleagues.
- Deliver device and equipment training, and participate in educational audits in collaboration with local Higher Education Institutions.
- Facilitate interprofessional forums and support sessions to help students develop key clinical and leadership skills.
- Organise and coordinate student placements, including across multiple hospital sites such as New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital.
- Maintain clinical expertise while supporting the wider learning agenda.
- Recognised teaching, assessor or mentorship qualification.
- Previous experience supporting learners in a healthcare setting.
- Organised and enthusiastic AHP seeking to expand into an educational role.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Lead Clinical Educators and Superintendent Radiographers.
