Specific Focus of the Role:
The post is for an Assistant Team Manager - Disabilities, working with adults with disabilities and care and support needs. This will primarily include adults with:

Learning Disabilities

Physical Disabilities

Complex needs (including mental capacity, safeguarding, and court-related work)

Operational Context:

The team operates within Adult Social Care, City of Wolverhampton Council

It is a statutory social work team, responsible for Care Act duties, safeguarding, MCA work, support planning, reviews, and commissioning-related activity

The role provides management oversight and leadership to practitioners within the Disabilities pathway, rather than Mental Health specifically, although it sits within a combined Disabilities and Mental Health service group
