Young Adults Support Worker – Community and Residential – Wolverhampton – from £24,305 to £32,202

  • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Health and social Care or Equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or Equivalent

This is a dual role;
You will be working as a Support Worker in our 6 bedded Young Adults residential service for short term stays and respite breaks as well as supporting young adults out in the community. You will be caring for Adults between the ages of 16 – 25. The service provides care and support for individuals who have severe disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex health needs who require 24-hour specialist care and support.

You will be working Early shifts, late shifts, long days and the rota does include alternate weekends. You will assist the management team in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to the adults accessing the service.

To empower and enable adults to achieve their individual goals and full potential and strive towards building confidence and independence.

Duties
  • To be a positive role model at all times.
  • To ensure the respect and dignity of adults is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure the delivery of appropriate care and support is given with sensitivity.
  • To promote equality and diversity.
  • To support and cooperate with the effective and efficient operation of the service.
  • Ensure all health and educational needs of the adults are met.
  • To encourage and develop the life skills necessary to support independence.
  • To plan and undertake relevant leisure activities with adults.
  • Undertake keyworker/co-keyworker responsibilities and duties where necessary.
  • To adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, legislative and reporting requirements.
  • To actively participate in continuing professional development.
