We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team and deliver excellent clinical pharmacy input across a variety of clinical specialties. Responsibilities
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy ward service to RWT patients.
  • Review prescriptions and dispense aseptic preparations.
  • Provide professional pharmaceutical services in all areas of the department.
  • Supervise and provide support to junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students and support staff.
  • Act as an independent prescriber once registered with the GPhC in line with local policy and entered in the trust NMP register.
  • Support safe prescribing and medication governance across the department.
  • Participate in service improvement projects.
  • Continuously monitor drug expenditure against budgets.
  • Review and develop treatment guidelines and PGDs.
  • Participate in the training of pharmacists, doctors, nurses and undergraduate students.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the GPhC.
  • Broad range of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Working towards a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Independent prescribing qualification is desirable.
  • Experience working within clinical services and a proven record of delivering effective change.
