Job Description

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.

As a Finance Analyst you will coordinate, develop and create finance models for both board & Commercial operations reporting, future budget and forecast preparation to simplify current manual tasks.

You will be responsible for producing, analysing, and communicating standard and ad‑hoc reports to senior business leaders, facilitating efficient financial management and development of operational & commercial business sectors.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate monthly results and business performance to senior business leaders, providing variance analysis and commentary for both routine and ad‑hoc reports.
  • Developing and simplifying the budget process to ensure efficiency and clarity.
  • Enhance finance processes to better support operations, governance, and control.
  • Be the business champion for existing & future business support tools and help communicate the results in a meaningful manner.
  • Interpret core transactional data provided by the SSC, and manipulate it as required. Work with the SSC to ensure Operations Finance receives the necessary information and that transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Perform ad‑hoc financial duties as dictated by business needs.
  • Act as a bridge between operational teams and senior management to align financial goals with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure a full understanding of the business and local issues.
  • Review and challenge actual cost and margins vs. predicted margins.
  • Assist the Finance Director in ensuring net working capital actions are implemented and new actions identified.
Qualifications
  • Part Qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Understanding of routine monthly accounting close cycles and accounting standards.
  • Comfortable contributing in a fast paced, deadline driven, small team.
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑Finance managers / directors.
  • Effective communication skills to all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Advanced excel modelling skills.
  • Time management skills and initiative; to appropriately prioritise activities whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines. Self‑starter.
