Senior Engineer - £80m BTR Scheme

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a well-established contractor on a flagship £80m Build-to-Rent (BTR) residential project in Wolverhampton. This is a permanent position offering long-term stability, working on a major multi-room residential development with strong systems, support, and future progression opportunities.

As Senior Engineer, you will take a lead role in managing engineering activities across the project, with a strong focus on quality assurance, setting out, and technical compliance. You will also manage and mentor site engineers, ensuring engineering standards are maintained throughout all stages of the build.

• Lead and coordinate all engineering activities on site
• Oversee and manage site engineers, providing technical guidance and support
• Take ownership of quality assurance, inspections, and record keeping
• Carry out and check setting out for structural, RC frame, and external works
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and buildability
• Ensure works are delivered in line with design, programme, and quality standards
• Support site management with technical input and problem-solving
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements at all times

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on large-scale residential or multi-room projects
• Strong QA and quality checking background
• Experience managing and mentoring engineers on site
• SMSTS, CSCS (essential)
• Excellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
