SEND Teacher

Smile Education are proud to be working in close partnership with the Endeavour Multi Academy Trust, supporting recruitment across all seven of their schools. We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teacher to join one of their secondary schools located in Wolverhampton.

This role is to begin immediately for half a term, with the potential for extension depending on school needs and performance.

About the Role:

• Teaching and supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs
• Planning and marking work in line with school policies
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with school staff, SENCOs, and support workers

The school is open to candidates with either Primary or Secondary experience, due to the broad needs of the students.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience working with SEND students – essential
• Able to plan and mark effectively
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or willing to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education
• Minimum of two professional references covering the past 24 months, including comments on your interaction with children
• Willingness to work between 3 and 5 days per week
• Commitment to upholding school values and promoting a safe, supportive classroom culture
