An inspirational and experienced professional is sought to lead Castlecroft Primary School into our next chapter after the retirement of our long standing and successful Headteacher in August 2026.

At Castlecroft Primary School, our vision is to provide a stimulating and enriching education that encourages the holistic development of every child. We promote cultural, spiritual, moral, personal, social, and intellectual development within the context of a happy school community, which includes a small local authority assigned visual impairment (VI) base. We believe that good mental health and wellbeing are at the heart of being a successful learner and we work together through challenges and share celebrations: feeling supported, accepted, valued, and empowered. Excellent educational standards and our motto ‘We are all different, we are all special’ is the foundation of our culture and ethos.

Our new Headteacher will bring us visionary leadership and build on current successes through establishing effective relationships with staff, pupils, the governing board and the local authority, ensuring our school continues to grow and thrive. We are looking for a leader who will promote an inclusive curriculum which challenges pupils of all abilities in a flexible, yet structured way. • Be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading a team of highly motivated, caring and professional staff.
  • Be someone who aspires to be a role model for our children who enjoy coming to school each day.
  • Promote and enable excellent attendance through collaboration and support.
  • Have a proven track record of creating a culture and ethos where pupils behave well, needs are known and met, and strong parental partnerships are intrinsic to the school’s work and success
We can offer:
  • A committed and proactive governing board.
  • A dedicated and experienced staff team with high expectations for children.
  • Happy pupils who demonstrate excellent standards of behaviour and eager to learn attitudes.
