A welcoming and well-supported primary school in Wolverhampton is looking to recruit a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role starting in March 2026, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them access the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:

* Delivering one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs

* Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

* Modifying learning activities and resources to suit individual academic and behavioural needs

* Encouraging pupils to build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits

* Working closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists to ensure consistent support for pupils

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting children and committed to inclusive education. The successful candidate will:

* Be a graduate or soon-to-be graduate (any subject welcomed)

* Ideally have some experience working with children or young people with SEN (although this is not essential as training will be provided)

* Be patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a genuine interest in supporting young learners

* Have strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively within a team

* Be keen to develop professionally and gain valuable experience in a primary school setting

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
