Position: Teaching Assistant- ICT/ Coding Specialist
SMILE Education are recruiting on behalf of a secondary special school in Wolverhampton, part of The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust, for a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant.
This full-time role involves supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to secondary-aged students
Support pupils with ADHD, ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and challenging behaviour
Assist teachers in delivering differentiated and engaging lessons
Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and personal care where required
Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school policies
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Recent experience supporting students with special educational needs
Experience working with ADHD, ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and challenging behaviour
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
A strong interest and aptitude in coding, gaming, and computers, using technology to engage and motivate learners
The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
