As a Senior Commodity Manager, you will lead global savings initiatives across your assigned commodity, identifying opportunities, driving execution, and shaping strategic sourcing plans through deep market insight and supplier analysis. You'll steer high‑value negotiations, oversee supplier panel performance, and ensure strong contract management to deliver sustainable cost and performance improvements. You will act as a sourcing strategy expert, guiding teams and promoting advanced tools and methodologies such as benchmarking, value engineering, and cost modelling.
You'll organize and lead regular business reviews with global suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement across the supplier ecosystem.
- Lead global savings initiatives: consolidate and promote the global savings plan for the commodity.
- Drive identification and execution of local initiatives from decision through to execution.
- Drive product strategy development: definition and implementation of product strategies for the assigned products, leveraging supplier landscape analysis, market intelligence, technology roadmaps, and business needs.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop innovative, competitive sourcing strategies.
- Provide negotiation support and coaching: drive and/or support high‑visibility and high‑value negotiations.
- Manage supplier panel: definition, management, and performance oversight of the supplier across all relevant products within the commodity scope; ensure panel alignment (performance, expectation) and adaptation to need.
- Manage contracts: ensure execution of the supplier contract plan, leading global contract negotiations to guarantee contractual continuity and expand coverage as needed.
- Serve as reference expert for sourcing strategy and contractual processes under the lead of Senior Commodity Manager.
- Lead regular business reviews with global suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of certain product commodities such as Machining, Casting, Forging, RM.
- Experience in developing strategies in a complex environment.
- Knowledge of contract management.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office or similar spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing applications.
