Job Description
- Manage procurement processes in line with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and engage with suppliers to ensure the best value for goods and services.
- Monitor contracts to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Prepare and analyse tender documents to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure continuity and quality of service.
- Provide advice and guidance on procurement matters to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for procurement activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Officer should have:
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and relevant regulations.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in procurement and supply chain.
- Proficiency in managing contracts and supplier relationships effectively.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare detailed reports to aid decision-making.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
