Automotive Mechanics for a project based in Wolverhampton, carrying out mechanical replacement and repair work on vehicles.

Role Overview :
As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for engine-related mechanical work, including the removal and replacement of engines, oil pumps, and water pumps, ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Removal and replacement of vehicle engines

Replacing oil pumps and water pumps to specification

Diagnosing mechanical faults related to engine systems

Stripping and rebuilding mechanical components as required

Following manufacturer repair procedures and torque settings

Using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment safely

Completing job cards, check sheets, and repair documentation

Carrying out quality checks following repairs

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area

Working to set targets and deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic

Strong knowledge of engine systems and mechanical components

Ability to carry out engine removal and refit independently

Experience replacing oil pumps and water pumps

Ability to read and follow technical instructions and manuals

Good communication skills
