Vehicle Technician

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment is actively seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician on behalf of one of our highly regarded and forward‑thinking clients, based in the Wokingham area.

Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Technician to join their professional workshop team. This position will see you working with a wide range of exciting vehicles, carrying out diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance to the highest standards.

• Perform vehicle servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently and accurately using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and wider team regarding repair progress and findings.
• Occasionally liaise directly with customers to explain technical work and provide expert advice.

• Level 2 or above qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic within a franchised or independent workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.

• Salary:
  Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience).
• Auto Enrolment Pension (from 22 years old upwards).
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Hours:
  
  Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (30‑minute lunch) – Not open at weekends.
