Since their inception 20 years ago, the company has grown rapidly having completed works on over 5,000 tenanted properties and now turnover in excess of £80 million offering comprehensive works covering full kitchen and bathroom replacements, electrical rewires, boiler changes, new heating systems, disabled adaptations, external insulated rendering, general roofing, loft insulation, and external environmental works.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be a qualified Electrician responsible for the full range of installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems across a variety of projects. You'll be expected to deliver a high standard of workmanship, work safely and efficiently, and support the smooth delivery of refurbishment and fit out schemes.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Carry out first and second fix electrical works, including wiring, containment, lighting, and power systems
- Install distribution boards, consumer units, switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures
- Fit specialist systems (data, fire alarms, emergency lighting, security systems) where required
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance to ensure systems remain safe and operational
- Replace or upgrade electrical components and equipment in line with client requirements
- Perform electrical testing, inspection, and certification in compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Ensure all works meet BS7671 standards and relevant building regulations
- Keep accurate records of inspections, test results, and any remedial works
- Follow site-specific risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems
- Maintain a safe working environment and use tools, equipment, and PPE correctly
- Report hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and deliver work
- Work alongside project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to meet programme deadlines
- Provide technical input and suggest improvements or cost-effective solutions where appropriate
- Represent the company professionally when working on client sites
- Communicate progress and potential issues clearly to supervisors and project managers
- Support and mentor apprentices or junior electricians where required
