Overview
Hartmann Young is partnering with an established and growing diagnostics organisation who are looking to hire a Sales Executive within pathology and diagnostic solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio spanning histology, microbiology, and advanced digital pathology technologies, including AI-enabled software and scanning platforms.
This position will suit a commercially driven individual who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and supporting laboratories across NHS Trusts and the private sector. You will play a key role in expanding market presence, managing existing accounts, and introducing innovative diagnostic solutions into routine clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and grow sales across NHS Trusts and private pathology laboratories.
- Manage and expand existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations, including digital pathology platforms and AI-enabled solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and support tender submissions in line with NHS procurement frameworks.
- Build strong relationships with clinical, laboratory, and procurement stakeholders.
- Attend customer meetings, industry conferences, exhibitions, and trade events.
- Ensure compliance with UK medical device regulations and internal quality standards.
- Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare solutions.
- Strong understanding of pathology laboratory workflows (e.g. Histology, microbiology).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Self‑motivated, commercially minded, and comfortable working autonomously.
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel across the territory.
- Previous experience selling into NHS Trusts and/or private laboratories.
- Exposure to digital pathology, AI software, or laboratory automation solutions.
- Knowledge of NHS procurement processes, frameworks, and tendering.
