Circa £120,000 - £140,000 plus package

I am working on a confidential mandate for a private equity backed, multi-site services business seeking a commercially driven UK Finance Director to partner closely with the UK CEO and Executive Leadership Team through its next phase of growth and performance optimisation.

The UK operation generates over £20 million in revenue and employs approximately 1,800 staff forming part of a larger international group with significant global scale. The platform is established; the focus now is on sharpening performance, strengthening commercial discipline and building scalable infrastructure to support sustainable expansion.

This is not a steady state role. It requires a hands‑on finance leader who can operate strategically while remaining close to the detail.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Driving performance improvement through disciplined cost control and cash management, particularly within a previously challenged trading environment
• Elevating reporting standards, KPIs, FP&A and forecasting capability to enable genuinely data led decision making
• Acting as a true commercial partner to the CEO and leadership team, improving accountability and business steering
• Leading and developing a finance team (circa seven)
• Supporting organic growth initiatives including legal and commercial input into new site development and contracts
• Leading the financial integration of acquisitions
• Driving systems and process transformation, including workforce management and enhanced financial/operational reporting, leveraging tools such as Power BI
• Ensuring robust controls, governance, statutory compliance and scalable financial infrastructure appropriate for a private equity environment

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified accountant with experience in private equity backed, multi‑site or labour intensive service environments
• Commercially astute with strong FP&A, forecasting and cash management expertise
• Experienced in performance improvement, systems implementation and structural/process enhancement
• A credible board level communicator with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively
