Job Title: Service Tech Coordinator / Trainee Service Centre Engineer
Contract: 12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job OverviewA global leader in electronic design and test solutions, is seeking a motivated Trainee Service Centre Engineer to join its Service Support Group at the Winnersh service centre. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of electronic test and measurement equipment and is ideal for recent graduates, school leavers, or early-career candidates looking to build a career in electronic calibration and repair.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain multiple electronic test stations (PC-controlled systems)
- Perform manual measurements of electronic signals (DC to lightwave) using test equipment
- Learn calibration, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
- Provide progress updates to customers when required
- Work collaboratively within the service team to meet performance and quality metrics
- Opportunity to support on customer sites as part of a wider service team
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades A–C), including Maths, English, and Physics
- Strong interest in electronics, measurement, and engineering
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a service environment
- A-levels or BTEC in Electronic Engineering
- Previous experience with electronic testing, calibration, or troubleshooting
