About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and forward-thinking school in Wokingham from April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting pupil progress and confident in delivering high-quality learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning across the curriculum and will take responsibility for delivering lessons and interventions, particularly in Maths and/or English.

Key Responsibilities of HLTA

Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
Provide targeted support and interventions in Maths and/or English
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Assist with planning, assessment, and feedback in collaboration with teaching staff
Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Person Specification

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
1-4 years' experience working in a school setting
Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or English
Confident leading whole-class learning and small group interventions
Local to Wokingham
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting pupils and staff
