We are seeking a committed and resilient Science Teacher to join a specialist secondary SEMH school in Wokingham on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and motivated to make a lasting impact on young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The RoleAs a Science Teacher, you will:
- Teach Science across the secondary age range
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Support pupils to re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes
- Create a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Work closely with pastoral staff, therapists, and senior leaders
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Previous SEMH or alternative provision experience is desirable but not essential.
