Palliative Care Staff Nurse
Band5
Woking and Sam Beare Hospice In Patient Unit islooking for a passionate dynamic and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse tojoin our incredible team.

As well as our environment which isclean, warm and homely to ensure all that come through our services feel safeand comfortable.
In addition to the wonderful environment, we have akeen focus on education and development. Our education team support excellent training sessions taught by our in-house experts. Furthermore, our staff are encouraged and supported to increase their professional skills through course sand university modules.
Part time and full time considered (applications for nights only will be considered and discussed at interview).
h3>Main duties of the job
Recent examples of our commitment to developing our team include:
- NA to RN apprenticeships
- HCA to NA apprenticeships,
- CNS supported and developed to join our medical team as a Non-Medical Prescriber/ANP
- Staff Nurse to Senior Staff Nurse
In the short time I have worked at the Hospice, I have been really supported by the team I work within. It is a challenging environment to work in, and I am continually learning. However, it is made easier by working in a supportive and caring team. I love my job.
Clinical ColleagueA successful Palliative Care Staff Nurse band 5: will be:
- Key member of the multi-disciplinary team. ->__Experience, we are not accepting newly qualified RN applications.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- To utilise your advanced nursing skills and knowledge
- ર્શExperience of palliative care is desirable; it is not essential as we can offer support through our training and development programme.
- A compassionate nurse who will play a key role in planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence based individualised nursing care.
- You will also possess excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to lead and motivate others.
- An ability to teach and support junior members of the team
- Supporting complex patients with their medical, social and psychological needs
- Engage in the development of the ward
- Focus on improving care and ensuring best practice at all times
Successful candidate will have:
- ạng>
- RN educated to Diploma or Degree level
- Palliative care qualification (or willingness to work complete)
- Mentorship qualification (or willingness to work complete)
- UK Registration
Current NMC Registration
This post falando subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and assuch it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
