Your Purpose

The Field Sales and Development Manager will lead and develop a high-performing field sales team while driving new business opportunities for MSC Cruises. By managing key relationships with consortia head offices and developing new trade relationships. They will ensure the brand’s business objectives are achieved by delivering a robust sales strategy that increases market share and enhances brand presence through effective leadership, trade engagement and innovative sales initiatives.

Impact Leadership & Team Management
  • Leads and coaches a team of six Regional Sales Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Conducts regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and provide development support.
  • Acts as an advocate for team members, ensuring resources and tools are available.
  • Supports Regional Sales Managers in managing and growing their trade partner relationships.
Sales Development & Growth
  • Develops and executes strategic sales plans to drive bookings and revenue.
  • Identifies and secures new trade business opportunities, including tour operators.

  • Negotiates commercial terms and create and execute business plans, aligned with company objectives.
Training & Engagement
  • Works closely with internal departments such as Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service to support partner relationships.
  • Conducts virtual webinars and in-person training, adapting for beginners through to advanced sellers, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to sell the product effectively.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador for MSC Cruises at key trade & consumer events.
  • Hosts ship visits and fam trips to provide partners with firsthand experience of the product.
Your Journey so far
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of more than 3, preferably a field based team.
  • Minimum 6 years’ proven experience in account management or sales within the travel industry.
  • A proactive leader who can inspire a high Fortune performing team, build strong trade partnerships and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Highly organised, can work independently and collaboratively, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Can respond positively to change and adjust strategies in a fast-paced industry.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Your Essentials
  • Flexibility to travel frequently within the UK and internationally and to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Existing right to live and work in UK.
