We are looking for a dedicated General Supervisor to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Coldingley, a Category C adult male prison. The role involves leading maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with health & safety, and maintaining a safe environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.

• Salary: £43,177.30 per annum
• Contract:
  
  Temporary (till 31/08/2026) – Full Time, 39 hrs/week, Monday‑Friday
• Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays

• Lead and supervise a multi‑disciplinary maintenance team (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, administrators).
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor maintenance tasks to maintain safe and secure facilities.
• Report on incidents, maintenance issues and improvement opportunities to senior management.

• Previous recognised experience and supervisory skills in facilities management.
• Experience of compliance and relevant health & safety requirements.
• Relevant professional qualification in facilities management or project management.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.
