Business Analyst – Logistics

We have a vacancy for a Business Analyst – Logistics, working in a team of permanent and contract Business Analysts and Functional Consultants. Working across a portfolio of projects and changes. Ensure business requirements are delivered with benefits, cost reductions and/or service improvements. This role will have specific responsibility for managing the logistics areas and system related application initiatives in the Middle Office function.

• Work with Senior Business Analysts and Business Partners contributing in strategic reviews and to deliver systems and business functional changes per established roadmap.
• Lead the collection, understanding, documentation and translation of the business requirements for changes and projects into functional specifications and detailed test plans. Ensure compliance with Operating Model procedures, Service Management, Project Lifecycle Management and Sarbanes Oxley controls.
• Assist in the production of business cases covering the development and implementation of business changes as necessary. Document work using required standards, methods and tools and recommend improvements to standards where appropriate.
• Participate in troubleshooting of escalated incidents, providing systems analysis and recommending available options for consideration with support of 3rd party service providers. Provide timely updates. Deep understanding of Business Partner Master data and Material Master Data.
• Provide Business Process design and documentation expertise, recommend business process and/or system improvements using formal and informal techniques. Lead the development and implementation of these improvements and new processes.
• Test, implement and train in systems and facilitate system and user acceptance testing.
• Develop a broad understanding of Nomad processes, applications, and data flows, and a deeper knowledge functions portfolio.
• Evaluate industry and competitor solutions, and incorporate into own thinking, analysis and solution design.
• Collaborate globally with the respective Logistics SME's in other regions and the Global Process owner to implement global/regional solutions within the Warehouse Management and Logistics modules.
• Collaborate with other business analysts and IT teams to ensure consistency and quality of system and process implementations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team and function.
• Provide the link between the customer, development team and any third party regarding software functionality throughout the development lifecycle. An IT professional or end user with good experience of the ERP systems (S4
  
  Hana and ECC 6.0) and 3PL Integration business areas.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with knowledge of how IT applications can maximise business advantage.
• Experience of managing and governing 3rd party providers.
• Experience of IT Service Delivery and Application support.
• Minimum 5 years Business Analysis experience, covering both Waterfall and Agile project environments. Demonstrable knowledge and successful application of the principles, methods, techniques and tools of various business analysis techniques.
• A desire and ability to work in a pan-European environment is important.

• Experience of group-wide Supply Chain, EWM, IM and 3PL Logistics initiatives and middle office functions.
• Project experience in an FMCG environment would be an advantage.
• Experience of Finance and accounting.
• Experience of interface technologies and principles, EDI.
• Business Analysis Qualification.
