As our kitchen assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care homes kitchen. Joining us at Charrington Manor, our luxury care home that provides residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people, you'll be part of a team that is genuinely passionate about the health and well-being of our residents.

- Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high‑quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
- Planning, preparing, and serving balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
- Ensuring all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe methods of work are always used
- Managing all stocks and stores ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
- Maintaining accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks
- Proven experience working in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or similar environment
- Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision
- Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
- Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
- Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast‑paced environment
- Sharing our values and demonstrating them at all times – “Can‑Do” flexible team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently
