Compass Community School Tull Park is an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education for pupils aged from 11 to 17 years in Woking. Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, all with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many also have SEND such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. The work we do is both varied and challenging and all staff receive extensive therapeutic training and support.

Together we place the child at the centre of decision‑making, working collaboratively with parents, local authority teams and students to secure outstanding outcomes for all.

We are all primarily teachers of children before teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships, and motivating students. We require an English specialist with experience and/or the ability to plan and deliver a curriculum that spans Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3 and GCSE. High aspirations for our children are maintained regardless of their learning journey, and we do not underestimate the importance of qualifications to provide life chances and opportunities.

Teachers inspire children, creating a sense of awe and wonder, and plan exciting, engaging lessons that challenge and push students. Our children require very special teachers who manage complex and challenging behaviours with attention, consistency, flexibility and a non‑judgemental approach. Teachers contribute to decision‑making that drives the school, advocate for every child and help develop both the academic curriculum and the extra‑curricular offer, bringing their own interests and passions to the table.
